OUR CLIENTS

Here comes the success stories from our valuable customers

CLIENT STORY //  01

  • LIGHT WEIGHT TRIPLE AXLE FLAT BED TRAILER.

Client Over view:

One of the industry leader, in design and manufacture Transport Equipment for Road Transport Industry.

Problem Statement:

  • Client needs to improve the design and quality standards for trailer in order to reduce road accidents and increases efficiency, performance, reliability and reduce Total Cost of Ownership.

  • Most of the states are imposing heavy penalty on the overloading. Due to this overload restrictions, fleet operators are forced to switch on light weight design solutions which lower the self-weight of trailer that improves the payload carrying capacity with out compromise on the structural strength.

  • The client were interested in introducing Future trend a “Light Weight triple axle Flat Bed Trailer” in market using advanced steel materials, due to its numerous benefits. Client wants to differentiate their product offering in the industry and wish to stand out of the crowd. A Standard flatbed trailer is not enough in the mid and long term.

Methodology and Key Deliverables:

The assignment was to help the client to design and develop a world class trailer that would address the gap in terms of meets the domestic and the global standards.

GIST ETS, conducted a detailed feasibility study with the client to evaluate their current product design and manufacturing methods for this above stated purpose. We created a go to market strategy to considering the client’s overall vision and strategic goals.

Some of the key deliverables of this assignment includes:

  • Propose a product design strategy like, whether to go for obsolete design or Relative design methods.

  • Setting up design goals, Quality and Cost targets.

  • Outline an implementation plan.

  • Develop prototype, propose and participate in product validation and testing.

  • Identify key risks and plan mitigation actions

Key Benefits:

GIST ETS’s comprehensive study helped the client to design and manufacture a high performance differentiated product that meets the Quality, Cost and delivery targets.

GIST ETS proposed a new and optimized trailer design that adapted to the market requirements for transporting ISO Standard containers with legal loads and has various options which make it suitable for general use too. This “lighter trailer for more payloads” will eventually replace the “heavier trailer for higher payload practice”.

Some of the Key deliverables included:

  • Improved payload carrying capacity

  • Maximize the operational economy with low operating cost per ton-km.

  • long service life and improved cost competitiveness

  • Improved tyre life even under the toughest road conditions.

  • Improved sales of the trailer due to its new and light weight design.

  • Improved volume handling capacities due to its simple design.

  • Open up the new export orders with this new design.

All these above benefits make us to offer our client the more efficient transport equipment solutions.
